Scars
Scars are a result of the natural healing process of skin. Whenever the skin goes through a trauma it starts the healing process, often leading to a mark you need not carry all your life. Types: The types of scars depend on the type of trauma skin goes through. e.g. 1. Post-burn scars and scar contractures: Even after such advanced treatments for healing burn wounds the scars are almost inevitable. The superficial burns do heal completely by them selves seldom leaving scars or easily tratable scars but deeper burns leave scars which are very difficult to remove completely. These are often itchy and red in color and caused when the healing process goes into a hyper mode. More information here: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000849.htm 3. Hypertrophic scars: Similar to Keloid scars but are limited to wounded area only. More information here: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19215252 4. Factors Affecting Scar Formation/Removal
Not every body gets scars from similar types of trauma, and similarly not everybody responds to treatments in a similar way. There are various factors, like: the magnitude of the trauma (e.g. how deep the cut is), location (Pls dont it be on face 🙁 ), age, genetics, skin color and ethnicity.
